Emotions are our body’s way of reacting to a situation. They have an evolutionary advantage. But intense emotions are harmful. However we have the ability to align what we feel with what we want to feel. Emotion Regulation is a process that helps redirection of emotions so that they don’t hijack a given situation.  It is an important skill to learn for one’s overall well-being.
